Upcoming IB Interview
Hey guys, I have an upcoming IB interview this week and was looking for advice to calm my nerves beforehand. I have had one previous IB interview and my nerves really hindered my performance as the questions were all valuation questions I had practiced before. For context this is my second SA interview with a big 5 Canadian Bank and I come from a "non-target" school, I networked for my first interview but this one I just applied to. Would appreciate any advice you all have.
Obviously know the basic technicals, but the big thing that I was told got me the job was being personable and interesting. Basically be someone the interviewer would want to grab a beer with. You’d be shocked how many applicants ace the technicals, etc. but get rejected bc they are just unsociable or come off as hardos. Realizing this and focusing on interesting things on my resume (and tying it to IB like the other commenter said) helped me get my SA.
