US SA to UK FT?
Genuinely curious whether lateraling to London for FT as a US graduate is a viable option or not. If so, can anyone provide insight into the process?

Idk but you’d probably have to get on a plane and start talking funny
not sure how helpful this would be but i'm a US citizen studying in the UK -- basically, regulations are changing making it harder for companies to sponsor visas. a lot of the time, international grads starting in london have gone to school in the UK and as such are on graduate visas for 2 years, usually the length of the analyst program, so the companies do not have to sponsor these individuals.
i think the move is absolutely feasible but note that UK recruiting is much less focused on networking. they'll caare more about your internship experience and how well ranked your school is by international standards, not necessarily w/i the us. lmk if you have any more questions and i can try to help as much as i can!
Agreed with above. Just want to add that from my experience, smaller firms tend to reserve sponsorship for senior laterals. However, bigger firms should have no problem sponsoring if you're a strong enough candidate.
I'd like to think you'd have an easier time lateraling after 1-2 years FT in the US.
.
tbh from my perspective this is even less likely. internships in the UK, even at top firms, don't always make the minimum required for the company to sponsor visas. also, they have no incentive to sponsor a visa for someone for just a few months, especially if they aren't sure if it'll be a good fit. i'd recommend looking at larger firms and seeing their rules, but usually, companies need you to have a visa for an SA role but may consider sponsoring after graduation
