US vs International internships
Hi all, here's my situation: I'm a junior international student at a top 10 LAC. Let's say for some personal reasons, all of my internship experiences were in Vietnam (including an internship at a top investment bank here but I doubt if anyone in the US has heard of it). My GPA, unfortunately, is 3.3. (Major GPA: 3.6)
Question: If I want to work in I-banking in the US, do you think that I should find a US summer internship at all costs? I've been cold e-mailing many boutiques but haven't heard back from any of them. What should this confused and slightly depressed monkey do, anyone?
.
Thank you.

take the vietnamese internship since you mentioned that you are working at a top regional investment bank. the point is to get good transaction experience. and then network with alums since you come from a top 10 LAC and make a good case why you want to work in the US
