They’re getting paid like half of bankers. Also, trucking is no easy job. Either way, doesn’t matter because the candidate pools for these jobs very different
Bro why would IB raise salaries because truckers (average age of ~45-50) are getting paid?? R u stupid
Demand for them is high, therefore candidates may seek higher compensation. This may not be like this forever.
Eventually, with more automation of the supply chain and new ways of autonomous driving, these requirements may evaporate in the future.
Well darn, now all the college hardos will want to be truck drivers! How will banks ever compete?
On a more serious note, good for those truck drivers, but at this point, this only is more than An1. Very few people go into IB for the An1 income. They do it for the relatively low risk chance at $500k+

Truck driving is far more difficult because one mistake can lead to a major accident on the highway. One mistake in excel leads to a #REF which you quickly fix a few seconds later.
