Want to leave both my coverage sector and IB but I’m stuck

I’m in the Oil and Gas IB team in a top BB and looking at the job market for quite some time. I want to leave both IB and oil and gas and found myself stuck as funds specialising in other real asset sectors don’t want me due to my deal experience. At the same time, most opportunities I have come across are in PE which means if I were to leave IB, PE is probs the most viable option.

I could perhaps look to switch to a different sector team, stick it out for a few more months in IB then leave. Or I could target FoF recruitment. I’m super keen to leave IB soon but am not in the best position to recruit for buy side or even corporate (given that I don’t want to do oil and gas anymore). Any ideas?
