Weighing two different IBD internship offers
Hey guys. I have recently received two summer internship offers from two MM firms. One is based in NY and the group is DCM. The other one isn't based in NY or a large city and the group is Real Estate. My ultimate goal is venture capital or private equity, which opportunity do you think would be the better option for me? I am leaning towards DCM in NY because I'd rather be in NY and I feel like the networking opportunity is way better, but I feel like being in a industry group is better than a product group when I'm first starting out.
With VC/PE as one of the end goals, I feel like M&A group would be most ideal group to switch into later. Let me know your thoughts!

I think Gutfreund_ is suggesting that if this is for summer 2019 then you have time to keep recruiting. Don't commit to an internship that you don't want if there is still time to recruit. I agree with this premise.
