WF Group Cultures

I've heard a lot about how some groups at Wells work juniors hard and don't respect protected Saturdays at all and how other groups are relatively laid-back with decent WLB, can anyone provide insight into which group falls under which bucket?

The groups are all pretty chill relative to other banks, from what I’ve seen. Correct that the bank does not have full protected Saturdays like most of the big players on the street (excluding GS, JP, MS). Friday nights until noon Saturday are protected for everyone.

Seniors across all groups are relatively friendly and care about internal development (to an extent).

You’ll come to realize that the same groups are sweaty/not sweaty across all banks. C&R and REGL for example, are relatively chill everywhere. Industrials and TMT tend to be sweaty everywhere.

The WF FIG group is one of the best on the street and has the best culture in the bank. M&A, like anywhere else, can be a bit sweaty but definitely ebs & flows depending on what’s going on with your deals.

The WF FIG group is one of the strongest on the street and has the best culture in the bank. M&A, like anywhere else, can be sweaty but ebs & flows depending on what’s going on w your deals at the time hour range is probably 50 when slow, 70 on average, 100 busy
