What is Citi on?
Citi has a number of lateral postings on their website for analysts and senior analysts. One thing that caught my eye is analyst and senior analyst postings require 2-5 years of experiences. Is citi really set on only hiring 3rd years who will probably leave in a year unless they go A2A?
Does Citi even do 3 year analyst programs or have they switched to 2?
Maybe they are targeting career switchers? I’ve seen lots of analysts in their mid 20s start as first year analysts after a couple of years in accounting or consulting.
That was my first thought but it seems weird that they only want to fill slots with career switchers? I figure they’d take an approach like JPM and have some postings tailored to that group and some for analysts that are experienced so that not every new hire is green as grass
