What is it with the BofA hate?

Is the BofA hate on this website just an echo chamber / feedback loop of negativity? Just signed an offer for SA and going on here makes it seem like Im gonna go be a janitor. I totally get the bad pay above AN and the exodus of MDs, but they're consistently 3-4 in global IB revenue (from what I see) even if not pure M&A. Is it really that bad of a place to be? I'd ideally wanna go into MM PE after its not like I want a MF seat

When you read people hating on BofA, realize that a large portion of them are ASOs or more senior. The bank is dicking them over big time with tiny bonuses, mediocre experience, and a lack of long-term progression. Their gripes won't apply to you.

If you want to do IB just for exits at the AN level, BofA is fine, and there are a lot of firms I'd pick BofA over.
