What is the Alternative Exit-Op you Dream of?
Curious... if it's not PE, Corp Dev, another bank etc... what is that other thing you would quit and do? How much would it have to pay you to make it worth while?

Working at a top activist hedge fund. Sadly it seems like they rarely take anyone and even when they do it's the top BB/EB -> MF PE kids.

What’s stopping u right now?
I’m 22 lol. Family already has a nice beach house so i just got build up a solid nest egg. Hopefully by the time I’m 35 I’ll have some bread saved up and a hot wife to go with me. What’s your dream exit?
Be my own boss. My goal is to pull that off by I'm 40. Still unsure on what type of company / work I want to do. Have an interesting roll-up idea which may require SBA / loans. Just not in a place right now to take on that risk financially.
How come / why not?
I've had mixed opinions of working in corporate America. Getting frustrated with the current job market as a recent post MBA grad. I come from an extended family where probably ~30% of my relatives eventually did their own thing. Some have done very well financially and others have been able to live a comfortable middle class life. I'm okay with either outcome.
In term of financing, I blew through a lot of money during my MBA. The current inflationary market is making me cautious. Once rates goes down and I get a windfall from a real estate asset I'm trying to sell, I may seriously consider entrepreneurship via a small business acquisition.

Joining the front office of a NBA / NFL / MLB or other professional sports team
That was on my list. Sadly the paycut to break in was too steep and found the mobility at the ones I was exploring really limiting without a legal background.
One of my relatives tried to do a similar pivot and faced the same issues. Eventually ditched the idea. One of those career paths that seem really cool until you realize how rare those openings are and how poorly you're paid for the work you put in.
