What is the worst recruiting firm and why is it Pinpoint Partners?

Any stories of people got burnt by pinpoint or water street?

Lol saw an FT article where they quoted an “MD” or something from Pinpoint about the state of M&A and I audibly laughed

Be respectful sometimes they have great mandates for good investment banking jobs. Maybe they arent helpful for you because you are unimpressive profile. I have found them to be excellent in past for good IBD PE HF jobs at all levels and my friends say same 

Have they ever screwed up by sending someone’s resume to where they work currently?

Either those clowns or water street search. The absolute worst, would highly recommend keeping your distance.

In London the worst is Dartmouth Partners. Just CV flippers.

Add Alexander Chapman to the list. Getting 12 calls a day from them…..

I can attest to all of this. They are extremely frustrating to work with, unprofessional, and offer absolutely no personal connection. On top of that, they ignore your emails or call backs, unless you provide a resume for them to just throw at the open mandate. I had to do some investigative work and later found out they threw in my old resume without my knowledge to a firm 2 years prior....and when I wanted to interview years later, I was disqualified by the employer. They actually hurt your chances of getting a job....
