I just saw a post about FT partners giving their analysts a plastic coin (?) as a literal ‘token’ of appreciation for overworking during the pandamic.
After the fiasco of the WFH deck posted by those GS analysts, they got a fruit basket (lol?).
Fruit baskets, coins, what on earth? Am I misreading something? Is this a prank by the WSO community?
When I was an analyst, we grinded hard and received a ~$90k check at the end of the year. Tough life, but at least we could take the reward to the bank.
The hell are you supposed to do with a basket of fruit and plastic circles?
Please tell me I’m losing my mind over here. Otherwise I really feel bad for kids these days and wish I could help. I feel sorry for the parents that have to witness their kids going through this garbage too. My god..
Absolutely crazy
The CEO and many of the senior MDs at FT Partners come from GS originally so not surprised by their behavior. FT's culture is based on the hardcore culture of GS from a few decades ago. While some might think GS is bad now, I heard it was way worse in the early 2000's, which is how FT still behaves.
