What to do when you don't have any work to do
So I am interning this summer in the BO of an IB in NY and I have absolutely no work. Just wondering if you guys have some advice on things to keep me busy.
This is my sophomore internship so what I have done is network with traders, kept current with the news, and done some programming training courses but that still leaves me with a good chunk of the day. What do you guys think I can do to fill the days?
Currently in a similar position, internship winding down. I'm basically learning how to do all the valuation methods in my free time, since this is just my freshman year internship. What programming training courses have you done?
We have an internal training platform and Ive have dabbled with coursera.
Practice creating 3-statement models, valuation methodologies, read WSJ or any other publications your company has access to, practice creating investment ideas and maybe put together a short deck outlining your hypothesis, etc.
Basically try to get your feet wet in the activities of the FT position you are pursuing.
