What to do with nest egg (200k)?

I have 200k saved up and wanna know how to invest it so it becomes the foundation of my future wealth. Do I just put it all on the market? DCA makes sense with this market froth idk. I plan to add to it monthly once I start my analyst stint (im 21). Probably wont touch it in the next 10-15 years so thinking long term investments

Congrats on nepo. Just give it to your parents’ jewish asset management guy, who somehow doubles as the family attorney.

Jokes aside, just develop a long-term growth strategy, if you don’t have the time to understand shorter term market trends/can identify interim mean reversion. One thing you’ll get out of AN stint is how to understand businesses, and most don’t know that this is all you need to beat the market long term. Put it into high growth ETFs until you’ve followed a select few companies that interest you, in the sectors you understand the most, and wait for an unwarranted sell-off. Once you’ve grown your portfolio and exited IB, and finally have the time to seek out alternative options, i’d suggest purchasing real assets like rental properties or smaller renewable energy farms to maximize your sharpe ratio, stabalize your return profile, and who would disagree that having a tangible piece of your wealth cemented in a tax deductible, highly appreciating asset (depending on market) while being able to profit monthly after principal + interest payments isn’t badass? (Obv. I’m underestimating the thorough diligence that would need to go into this).
