i think it would be on the same level as penn and dartmouth, slightly below hyp and w, that's just my guess though.
It's a place where you don't have to worry about the school holding you back in any sort of interview... Columbia is an interesting school, it's not as highly ranked as Duke or Penn... but it has alot of clout because it's right in the city. I've met a good number of PE guys from there...
columbia is given more respect than dook.
Street Prestige 1. Harvard/Yale/Princeton/Wharton/MIT/Stanford 2. Penn/Columbia/Cornell/Dartmouth/Chicago/Cal Tech 3. Brown/Berk./Duke/Hopkins 4. Northwestern/Georgetown/UVA
Colbia surely does have a NY advantage and it pays ..
Not sure that Cornell > Duke Both are top
