What’s your body count

I’m 25 y/o 6’2” in decent shape and at around 22.

Probably only 25% that I’m proud of 50% that were meh and 25% I regret deeply and am disgusted by. Fortunately never banged a hooker but no judgement. New motto, 6 and below HELL NO. I make enough and am a decent enough guy not to go below a 7 now. I’m dating a girl now for the first time in a long time and it’s way better than random hookups. Thx for listening to my Ted talk

It sounds like you're reflecting on your past experiences and setting new standards for yourself, which is a positive step. Based on the highest-ranked WSO content, many users emphasize the importance of quality over quantity in relationships, whether casual or serious. Prioritizing meaningful connections over random encounters often leads to more fulfilling experiences, as you've noted with your current relationship.

Your "new motto" of aiming for higher standards aligns with the idea of self-respect and valuing your time and energy. Just remember, it's not just about external "ratings" but also about compatibility, shared values, and mutual respect. Keep focusing on building a strong, healthy relationship—it seems like you're on the right track!

I’m just proud people in your generation are still having sex. Feels like there are a ton of think pieces out there about how most of Gen Z are incels, virgins, and puritans (and good lord you can tell it isn’t completely untrue from the people posting here in WSO.)

Now go have more sex until you don’t care about a “body count” or make threads like these.

Editorialists have to write op-ed pieces, whether they're accurate or not.  Half the hand-wringing going on in the United States is being done by people who are totally disconnected from the reality of people's lives.

And yes, there are a lot of incels and puritans.  There always have been.  But as WSO shows, those people simply have more time to come online and complain about the women they're (not, or pretending to) sleep with, because they aren't out socializing or doing anything productive.

I lost count around 200. I'm a nerd but that laptop crashed when I was in the 70s. Embarrassingly there was a girl when i mis-read the room for a threesome.

Youve been banging women since the 1970s gramps?

Only since 2005. It's amazing what you can do if you go out every weekend. ;-)

Putting up Wilt numbers.

It actually seems like some incel (not you obvi) has been throwing MS on me for this.  I compromised once to say I did a virgin, but otherwise I've dittled my way across five continents. Heck Pat at Cooper Union was Persona non-grata atr Vassar.  Speaking of which, I took a couple Vassar kids back to NJ at the end of the College Point Class Conflict Pub Crawl do do things that shouldn't be written about.

If you're a guy that keeps count, you're either a loser or autistic.

Possibly autistic here. I used to have a spreadsheet, but now it's just a rough guess. I really wish PrEP came out sooner. Condoms suck.

Let's hear some stories about the ones you (or anyone else here) regrets

Hooked up with two lesbians and one became attached to me and I didn’t want to hang out with her anymore and she made my life a disaster for 6mo.

Yeah I’m not sure about that one brother. Acting single when you’re single does not make it more difficult to commit to your partner when you aren’t.

Rules make things easy. My ex and I agreed that it wasn't cheating if we were both in the room. We had a great time taking turns railing a flight attendant in philly, on his balcony which might have been a technical violation but not a moral one.

I guess you never made it to two. ;-)

Only body count that I'm working on is the number of kids with my wife.

Lots of sad comments above. Seems like a very unfulfilled life to be constantly moving from partner to partner and not finding a single person that you want to share the world with. Hope that each of you can one day stop the clock and find someone special.

Funniest

Hell yeah, brother. Gotta get you a strong Christian woman who is primarily there for procreation and fireworks-laden fundraising in the event of your untimely death.

I'm so glad that I found the love of my life. Hope everyone can do the same.

Seems like a real cope to try and make fun of someone living a happy and content life.

Imma wait until marriage. Hope she does too. Have some friends who are planning the similar thing, as a side note these are the guys who are doing best in life (relative to their age) out of all of my friends. I've also noticed these guys came out of the best homes out of my friends and typically still have quite a good relationship with their parents.

Some just came from traditionally minded families, some due to religion, others just because they think sleeping around is sleazy, don't want to get STD's, get someone pregnant (quite practical tbf).

One of those guys' favourite quotes is something like "What kind of woman would you be sleeping with if she has such respect for herself that she would do a 1-night stand?"

I don't judge people for this btw. Let him without sin...

Ps. The females in my family say that any girl worth her salt can say they can spot a guy who sleeps around a mile away.

I am but I'm not going to change your mind if you don't believe me. (Sorry for the long reply TLDR, i'm basically religious and conservative/ read old-fashioned, and  thankfully it doesn't bother me waiting until marriage)

I've been very goals oriented from a very young age like a lot of folk on here, from HS through College, and extremely busy inside and outside of school. Also fairly traditional parents, grandparents, family culture leans religious and had a sort of religious upbringing, religious school etc. I have a lot of religiously minded/conservative friends so that probably means something as well. That combines with my own, these days probably considered very conservative views on such matters, which obviously has been influenced by all of the above but they are my views now too. I happen to believe in that religion as well and that does make a big difference

I could change my viriginity status with a trip to the bar/ club on Friday (that says less about me , and more about society nowadays bear in mind)...but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything and as I said in the other comment I'd rather wait. Also peace of mind from whatever diseases the empowered young women of today are carrying around.

I'm also very secure in myself (and relatively successful in what I wanted to be successful in) so it's not like this is a big deal or a 'weight on the shoulder' which I've heard it being described by others...like the freshman who turns up on campus and all he can think about is getting rid of this virgin tag.

We all have free will but if I ever had kids I'd hopefully raise them basically the same way. I don't judge people with higher bodycounts, but I don't like folk sleeping around. Gives me the ick. (I'm not a morally flawless dude either, so again let him without sin cast the first stone)

Ps. normally being called a virgin is an insult in online discourse, but only on WSO would someone not believe you are one. Common WSO W?

I appeciate you simply want to give me a reality check. The average secular Marketing girly?

No. But that's not what I'm going for anyway. But "traditional girls" are out there...you just have to know where to look. IYKYK.
