Where should we cross the line in AI Assistance

Hey folks,

While this post is rather general in nature. It is incredibly relevant to those trying to tap into the institutional industry. As a post-grad, looking to pivot from PWM to AM/Institutional Equity Sales roles, I run into this question every day.

While a number of bankers complain about many students lacking in care and precision, including numerous grammatical and spelling errors. There are just as many complaining about the clear use of AI. I thought I'd raise this question, as l, in my own efforts, will craft a well thought out email, but utilize Ai for concision and clarity. I am hoping that my own cold outreach efforts don't signal the same, well, disappointed reactions.

Can a majority of bankers, from their endless influx of cold emails from recruiting cycles, truly tell the amount of AI utilized. Does the mere use of Ai as assistance lead to an immediate "A La Poubelle". Where is the line drawn?

Some use of Ai for error checking or concision is noticable, but okay
