Which banks have bumped salaries in Madrid?
My bank has recently increased IBD salaries in NY. I work in the leveraged finance group in Madrid and our salary has remained flat, though the salaries from the M&A group has increased c. 20%.
Does anyone know if salaries in Europe (excluding London) are increasing as well? Does salary increases target specifically M&A groups or also other IBD groups? Any specific info on Madrid?

Should target at least the whole IB franchise, but we all know how things work in Spain. My bank has also increased salaries in ER and S&T in London.
Sad to hear that. The IBD head of my bank said the other day that they were performing a benchmarking of salaries in the industry, however nobody knows if they will actually take action.

Off-topic but how big is the banking scene in Madrid? I would assume that London, Paris, and Frankfurt/Munich take up the bulk of the deal flow in Europe.
