Of the three you mentioned, State Street would be the best one and Pfizer would the worst option. Depending on what you get from PE and the Boutique, I would go with State Street at the moment.
Hi GreenAttack,
Thanks a lot for the insight. I really appreciate it. But can you clarify why corporate finance at Pfizer would be the worst option? And why State Street is best?
Go with Pfizer. Risk management and global markets are completely unrelated to IB. At least with corporate finance, you will be learning valuation, due diligence processes, and other skills that are directly transferable to IB.
Thank you Sil, that's what I was thinking too. How do you think corporate finance in a F100 company like Pfizer compares to a crappy boutique investment bank or really small PE firm?
I would take the boutique IB. This has been discussed to great length on this forum, but I (and most others) always advise to take the boutique IB. Yes, Phizer has a better name, but it's the experience that counts.
Depends on the type of role the boutique will be offering. I am in the same situation right now. However, if the boutique is legit then your answer is simple. If you want banking then take the role that is banking.
