Why do bankers accept cold calls?
Been fortunate to network and get advice with a ton of bankers and was just curious what compels people to agree to a 30+ minute call with someone they don’t know. Is it mainly a pay it back kind of thing?

Its a couple things:
1. Paying it forward, most of us were there at some point
2. Similar to #1, loyalty to your alma mater or people coming from your background / hometown
3. A senior banker told you to and refusing on this is not a battle worth fighting (I'm mostly here now)
Dude. - what’s ur schedule looking like in the coming weeks. Love to hop on a quick one

Same answer as the others:

I just dont waste my time with people who make no effort. Like they just random linkedin connect or don't bother to do some research or have interesting questions.
