I wanna apply for a position so I LinkedIn the group and found out the MD of the team. Will it be rude if I write the Managing Director a self-recommendation email with my resume out of blue? Thank you all!

the bank has people handling the process for laterals. Probably an Associate or a VP. They organize interviews with juniors and VPs and then might put you forward to an MD, who generally aren't involved until the very end (because there are better uses of their time).
so yeah, you will probably annoy them. Even moreso if you send a message in semi-broken English with a risk management background.
