The front office is a client facing role. Will a bulge-bracket bank turn you down from a front-office job if your face is ugly/below average looking?(Assuming the candidate meets all the other requirements of the job description) This is a serious question.

being ugly doesn't help but most people in ib are not exactly lookers so i wouldn't worry about it. The guys are typically dorky dudes who obviously are a little too into patrick bateman and the girls may be hot depending on group but they'll have desk ass after a year anyways
