William Blair vs Guggenheim MM (Chicago)

If you had an offer from both of these places then which one would you pick? I know a bunch of the people from Gugg Chicago are ex William Blair. How do they compare regarding exit opps and deal work?

Both are very good firms but for MM, William Blair gets much better deal flow/experience than Guggenheim Chicago which is fairly new. WSO tends to over exaggerate Guggenheim which don't get me wrong is a very good firm and might out place Blair in the next 5 years in terms of deal size/quality but you'll have great UMM placements from Blair. Not at either of the firms but just my two cents.

I accepted Gugg over Blair. I liked the people more as well as the outlook for the firm. Obviously, Gugg is very new but they had incredible growth and I expect that to continue. Additionally, the pay will likely be better. The downside is that exits are unknown. You know what you will get out of Blair but we don't know about Gugg yet

Because Gugg NY pays more than WB and the group has ridiculous deal flow

Substantially more? Also, even tho Gugg MM is new, does the Gugg name go further than WB?
