Worth ER to IB?
I've been a BB ER associate for ~2 years. Generally like my job/coworkers, decent base. But I'm working IB hours (many 80-100 hour weeks) and my A2 bonus was far less than my A1 stub, despite good review. Like less than what an analyst 1 gets in IB. And I'm late 20s. Goal is buyside/startup. Would I be competitive for IB A1/A2 roles and is it worth trying? Lateral market seems bad right now. Nontarget schools but strong specialty knowledge.
I have no idea if you are going to be competitive. Sounds like this like its going to be a hustle and networking hard to get somewhere else kinda of story. You have a BB on you resume so that seems to be the biggest redeeming factor you have going for you.
