Worth staying or lateral?

First year analyst, at a strong bank in a strong group. Feel like I've wasted the first 6 months grace period as a new analyst as I wasn't staffed on any live deals. Group is strong but have not gotten great staffings. Have not done mid-year reviews, nor am I expecting anything good to come from it. Is it worth staying and trying to improve or start exploring the lateral market?
