Would it be strange to show my passion to capital market like this?
Hi, my name is Kelly.
Although I am a junior year student studying in a non-target school, I study very hard and have banking internship experience.
Currently, I aim to get global banking or investment banking working experience.
According to those job descriptions, most of them want candidates to have passion about the capital market.
Hence, I created a Linkedin company page to make daily market updates & make financial videos summary.
If you are a recruiter, would it be strange to you?
'Hi, my name is Kelly.'
Stopped reading right there, ngmi.
It does show interest so it would be seen as positive but not a huge impact on ur application
Thank you very much, but what methods would you suggest?
Just focus on networking and getting more ib experience (will have a bigger impact than extracurriculars)
Will you suggest using Linkedin?
Yes and cold-emailing
Thank you very much for giving a direction to me
This is actually a decent idea but people would only be impressed if you had a decent following (1k+ people) which is a lot of work to get. If it's just posting updates for no one to hear, less cool.
The best way to show interest is to get internships at smaller banks and get real work experience
