WSO Love Story?
I’m not particularly interested in hearing about a WSO love story, (although that would be pretty awesome), but I am interested in hearing there are any stories about people meeting through WSO and becoming friends in real life. Or if there are any stories about somebody helping to get someone a job, networking with them in real life, etc.
I think it would be pretty cool to hear about how an online platform could have an actual real world affect on somebody’s personal life/career path, and would love to hear about people’s stories.
I have met a couple of users IRL and I am friends with some of them.
There are also WSO meetups / events.
Not to do with WSO but I met a couple guys playing video games in 2014-2015. Ended up playing stuff together most days until like 2021 when I went to college. They both lived in the USA but I lived in a different country. I ended up coming to the US as an international student and met them both and now they’re some of my closest friends.
We look back on it and we all kinda laugh especially considering the whole “don’t talk to strangers in the internet thing”, but it’s crazy to think I met 1 of my best friends online playing video games lmao.
