1 year unemployed after graduating twice and CFA LEVEL 2

Hi guys need some advice,

I graduated with a bachelors and a masters degree from a top business school in London. I have been searching and applying for roles within the asset and investment management industry, and after 107 applications I have had 2 interviews(both rejections), neither of them relevant to my career path but still within the industry.

Its been 1 year now and no luck, I've tried using my careers service at university, networking, job recruiters, etc, but no luck!

I have passed the CFA level 1 exam and level 2, but don't have a clue of how to break into the industry. I can't even get an internship!

Any help would be appreciated, as it is driving me crazy now.

few things:

1) did you go straight to masters from undergrad? If so, are you applying for jobs you may not be qualified for experience wise? 2) Is there something off with your background that is obvious? I.e. need work Visa, crappy experience, etc.. 3) 107:2 ratio is terrible, post up an anonymized version of your resume here, something must be wrong if #1 and #2 dont apply.

Hi Guest1655,

Thanks for the quick response. In regards to your points

1- Yep, I went straight from undergraduate to Masters, don't have any work experience or internships under my belt. I have managed to attend a few insight days which I've also tried to use to pad out my CV. I have applied to a vast range of job levels, from low entry levels right the way up to roles which require an MSc.

2- Background is fine, right to work in the UK, but no work experience, have had a few part time retail and sales jobs. No relevant experience however.
