30 minutes for a Case Study presentation?
I am in the final stages of interviewing with a newer financial services provider, I have been given an assignment to give a presentation on a 1 page case study. I have 5 pages of a deck built, and feel I can talk to everything in less than 15 minutes. I don't want to drag them through another 15 minutes of fluff nor do I feel the need to expand the deck just to have more pages.
Would 15 minutes of Q&A make me seem unprepared?
Am I missing something?
My experience (albeit fairly limited) has been that these presentations can become highly interactive (almost a Socratic debate) so to the extent that you can concisely demonstrate your understanding of the case you should be fine. With that said, if your presentation is only 15 minutes because you failed to consider multiple perspectives or missed key concepts then you may be in trouble. Good luck.
Why don't you give an overview of the case (anonymous names if you like) - what they asked for, and your main points and we'll see if you're missing anything?
Might be OK to appendicize other stuff too in case you want other backup data. But short and sweet is always appreciated.
