A few superdays but no offer

gents and gals... I've been networking like crazy, talking to everyone that will reply and sending out email after email. I managed to get a few superdays but alas no offer - MDs tell me they usually dont take the follow up calls but like me enough to tell me that the offer ended up going to a lateral willing to jump ship. I have 1 internship at a middle market firm under my belt and graduated in May with a 3.7 gpa from a non-target school and gearing up for the SIE. For the entire summer, I have studied technicals like I'm dating Rosenbaum and Pearl. Guys I know at other shops and my professors tell me its a numbers game, but I'm lowkey starting to feel hopeless. All I need is one shop to say "come on kid, start running" and hire me. I have the willpower and legit pursued IB because of the grind but I dont know why my hunger isn't paying off. Its now August and I legit don't know what to do and all I want is a chance. PLS HELP
