A Monkey Seeking Advice - BB ops or extend

Hi Everyone,

So I am currently in my senior year and have a FT offer at a BB in OPS, currently awaiting placement either will be located in NYC or NJ. I am considering whether to reject the offer if I get placed in NJ (as it would be difficult to network with NY FO) or even reject it all together no matter the placement and extend graduation to finish my undergrad at a non target in mathematical finance( started some of the coursework).

Ultimately would like to make it onto a trading desk, and thought maybe the ops role could be the foot in the door as I heard it is possible to make the switch although its not too common. I am scared to get pigeon holed as an "OPS GUY". I had past experiences in risk and credit research.

Should I extend my graduation or accept the offer and if networking fails finish up the pre reqs to attend a mfe program?
