Move on man, these things happen more often than you might realise. Happened to me personally at least two times, never heard back after weeks when I thought "it is done".
I guess I just needed to hear this from someone. I work in a different industry and have been trying to break into banking for a while now. This role was in an uncommon team that covers the industry that I work in so I feel like I've lost my only opportunity to break in. Thanks for responding!
Doubt there’s anything you can do at this point, and the best you can hope for is that youre waitlisted (which is a genuine possibility); like what the person above said, best thing to do is to move on
Do you think maybe I should write another short email to the MD to ask if there was an update? If I don't have much chance anyway, should I at least appear persistent and keep following up weekly until they give me a response? Thanks for responding!
