Advice on what to do next , failed S7

I started working as a financial advisor abroad. Moved back to the U.S and wanted to continue in this route. Got into a financial advisor development program with one of the big firms. Failed the S7 3 times. the first time I had a 63, the second time a 69 and the last time a 71. Prepared my butt off for this. I never studied finance at this level, and never took a 6hr test. As frustrated as I am, I still believe in myself. I am planning on waiting the 6 months to retake it. In the mean time, I need to find myself a new job, since now I am unemployed and continue to prepare for the test.

I would like some advice on what should I do next. What type of jobs should I be looking into that will give me some experience and knowledge on this field and will also sponsor me in 6 months. Also, I have been advised to delete the last 4 months from my resume. I don't think I should be ashamed, I have met people that took it more than twice and today they are huge producers. Also if I was to get a job at a bank branch, will they sponsor me? I have a liberal arts degree and a MBA.
