I was wondering if anyone has heard back from the process yet. I had an HR phone screen, R1, R2, and an assessment. I was wondering if anyone heard anything beyond this point. I know their HR is slow. Any insight/help is appreciated.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for HR processes, especially in high finance, to take a bit longer than expected. The HR phone screen followed by multiple rounds of interviews and assessments is a standard procedure for many firms, including those in investment banking, private equity, and similar fields. Given that you've already gone through an HR screen, R1, R2, and an assessment, you're clearly well into the process.
A few points to consider based on similar experiences shared on WSO: - Patience is Key: Many candidates have noted that the time between later rounds of interviews and hearing back regarding a decision can vary widely. It's not unusual for this part of the process to take several weeks or even longer. - Follow-Up: If it's been a while since your last interaction (typically a couple of weeks), a polite follow-up email to HR inquiring about your status and reiterating your interest in the position can be beneficial. It shows your continued interest and can sometimes prompt a quicker response. - Networking: Continue to leverage your network. If you have contacts within the firm or industry, now might be a good time to reach out for insights or advice. They might not be able to expedite the HR process but can offer valuable perspective or even put in a good word. - Preparation: While waiting, continue to prepare for potential next steps, whether that's more interviews or an offer discussion. Review your notes, refine your understanding of the firm and its culture, and stay sharp on any technical or behavioral questions that might come up.
Remember, the hiring process in highly competitive fields can be lengthy and somewhat opaque. It's a test of not only your skills and fit for the role but also your patience and persistence. Keep a positive outlook, and use this time to continue improving and preparing. Good luck!
