apply for job through doostang or linkedin?

If there's a job opening and you only have the option to apply through one of these sites, which would be better?

The problem with linkedin is that it also sends my profile info and my profile isn't really great as I rarely kept it up. Which of the two could lead to a greater interview probability?

Why not update your LinkedIn? If an employer gets your resume through Doostang and then looks you up on LinkedIn you still run into the same issue. Not too hard to either update it and make it look great, or put the bare minimum but keep it from looking bad.

The issue is that I have fewer than 50 connections and I don't have any recommendations or skill endorsements since I never asked people to fill it out so I think these may reflect poorly

No they don't. The only people with all of that fluff on their profile are those that are social media whores with shit jobs. You may have a few here and there, but most of guys that I know in BB don't have any of that.

Doostang is mainly US finance related, for prospective and recent graduates. So very good fit with background and ambitions of people on this board.

LinkedIn also has a strong business focus but is for everyone everywhere (ie. all sorts of sectors/activities on all continents). Hence loads more members. Just depends what you're after.

I personally use LinkedIn a lot more (received some good interview proposals through it) but will shift over to Doostang if I ever want to look for jobs in the States.
