Applying to and networking for Summer 2025 internships while working 2024 internship. Help
Hey all, I am interning as a soph for a fortune 5 company in their corp finance dept this summer. The problem is that I want to try to go to a BB / well known bank for their corp finance internship program for my junior summer.
The issue is a lot of these roles open up this summer when I am working, so what am I supposed to do if say I get a superday over the summer at like 1 PM on a Thursday during work?
Keep in mind I want to get a return offer from this company too just for safety for my junior year summer as well.
I also plan to do networking calls over the summer with VP's and other people at firms I want to work at, but what time should I request a coffee chat for if I am working and they are probably working as well during the 9-5 hours?
I was thinking about just waiting until August / Sept to start applying to roles for next summer but then lots of other people tell me that those firms recruit on a rolling basis and it would be way better to start this summer.

Plenty of people recruit during their internship — try to schedule networking calls during lunch or on WFH days at times when you don’t have meetings. And if you need to go for an interview then just tell your manager you have a dentist/doctor’s appointment. As long as you only do this once or twice it’s fine.
What if I dont have any WFH days tho. But thanks for advice.
