Applying to biotech equity research. No finance experience

Hi everyone,

So I am applying for a biotech ER entry position with no finance experience but with a very strong science background. No advanced degree but still have publications etc.

I'm in the process of writing this cover letter for this position but because I also took a short finance seminar last fall to learn about financial modeling/valuation etc, I am thinking of maybe including that in the letter.

This is my first time writing a cover letter for a finance position and was wondering if anyone had insights as to what I can highlight despite the fact that I have no finance degree/job experience.

I'm applying bc I know it's like a 1in 1000000 chance but thought it's better to try than nothing!

Thanks
