Applying to FT IB positions w/o IB internship - advice and strategy
Essentially title. I didn't realize I wanted to do Finance until my soph summer and am now targeting finance as a current Junior at a target school. Due to my insurance background, I'm leveraging that into fixed income/equity analyst roles at large insurance firms with the intention of applying to FT Ib roles this coming fall as a senior. Looking for not just advice but also a realistic outlook on how hard I'll need to grind for this happen. I'm from a target school, have a 3.8, a strong resume, and lots of connections. Is this feasible or should I just go with the masters in finance route?
