Yes for Full-Time last Friday at March 28th, 2014. Haven't heard back either. Would appreciate it if you can let us know when you hear back. Many thanks!
It seems highly likely that if we don't hear back by now, we probably won't be getting an offer. It's a shame, since I really wanted the position too :(
From everything I've read on this site and other IB related sites, banks usually don't wait a long time to give you an offer if they really want you. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but my glimmer of hope is dimming, haha.
It is okay to follow up after one week. They say two weeks to be on a safe side just in case someone else doesn't take an offer. On average, they make their decisions same day or the following Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I asked someone within my netwrok ho was an analyst at BAML and he told me he found out the next business day, which fell on a Monday. Hope this helps. Good luck.
If you don't hear back from the HR contact, I assume one of two things: 1) You've been rejected and she doesn't even want to talk to you; 2) She's waiting to finalize everything before getting back to you, and you could still be in the running. I hope it's the latter.
hmmm I see. Well, I am not sure why the HR lady would not even want to talk to me. The other thing is when I sent an email yesterday, why couldn't she just gave me an update? I just I really hope its the latter too!
I would follow up with an email on Monday if you do not here back by then. There is a possibility that they will send you either an email or mail correspondence regarding their decision to pursue another candidate. Recruiters do not usually call you to tell you that you didn't receive any offer. They usually only call candidates who receive full time offers.
Usually, yes. For candidates not receiving an offer, it's perceived as a waste of time to maintain contact with them. I actually heard this from someone working in HR at another BB.
The update they usually give you is in the form of mail correspondance saying they are considering someone else. I guess from their standpoint they look at it as a waste of time if they call all the people who are not getting offers.
I forgot to mention that sometimes they do not choose anyone they interview. It happened to someone I know, he interviewed among another 9 people and no one got an offer.
I see so we should we receive at least an email either way. Well today marks the 2 week and the HR lady said anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks so let's see how the day goes
I am intrigued by the amount of traction gained in the thread. For BBs in general, if you do not hear back within a 24-48 time frame, then it means that you are hold. Has happened to me countless times and the best advice I have gotten is to continue to push forward. If you get the offer, celebrate like no tomorrow. If no offer is obtained, it will make the next opportunity that much sweeter.
Hi amh69. Yes, did you email or call her? Did you hear anything back? Did you attend the superday on March 28th, 2014 as well? What group did you interview with?

I haven't heard anything yet. What group did you interview for?
we talking sa or ft?
Are we talking about superday last Friday March 28th? I interviewed for ft.
Interviewed last Friday for FT, have yet to hear back.
Any news?
Yes for Full-Time last Friday at March 28th, 2014. Haven't heard back either. Would appreciate it if you can let us know when you hear back. Many thanks!
So it has been a week since the superday.
Has anyone heard back?
Thanks.

Hi LearningMan,
Why do you say that? I remember the recruiter saying it would take anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks.
From everything I've read on this site and other IB related sites, banks usually don't wait a long time to give you an offer if they really want you. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but my glimmer of hope is dimming, haha.
I didn't get the offer. They usually give offers same day or within a 48 hour time frame. I found out last Wednesday,
I have not received any updates yet. What should I do?
Well, we all heard what BUSINESS05553 said... I don't know what to tell you. I'm in the same boat.
suv8080, I would call the recruiter to follow up. It has been a week already.
But BUSINESS05553 was a lateral hire so could be little different...
I also haven't heard anything from that same superday for the analyst program
So far no one has received offers? hmm thats weird I wonder what is going on...
HR Lady said 1-2 weeks. 2 Weeks haven't gone by so thats why I'm hesitant to follow up.

Thanks for the color BUSINESS05553
Yea, I would like to follow up but since 2 week has not gone by, I am a bit hesitant as well...
Has anyone heard back today? Many thanks.
FT recruiting in April?? This is for a lateral I assume?
Yes still going on in April... Well this was in late March
Has anyone got an offer or heard back any updates today?
I sent an email yesterday to the HR lady but have not received any response back yet. What does this signify?
Has anyone heard anything back today??

Hi,
Has anyone heard any updates today?
@suv8080 what group did you interview for?
capital markets
How about you? What group did you interview with?
Has anyone heard back anything today or yesterday?
No. I sent an email and got no reply.
When did you send the email? I sent my email on Monday but have not received any response yet either

Also sent an email and got no response. I kind of assumed that I got no offer. Oh well.
I don't get why they can't just reply to the emails and give updates
Must be a corporate thing. Happened to me for other interviews with with companies.
Did you eventually get an update on the decision for other interviews with companies?
So no one has heard back any updates today?
Nope, never heard back.
What is going on? Did anyone even get an offer? Is not giving an update another way of saying you are ............
Usually, yes. For candidates not receiving an offer, it's perceived as a waste of time to maintain contact with them. I actually heard this from someone working in HR at another BB.
But there are people who still receive updates either way

Thank you BUSINESS05553. I really need it!!!

Just curious, who was it that you emailed in HR? Erin?
Did you attend this superday too?
Hey conyak, what group did you interview with? Did you hear anything back?
Hi amh69. Yes, did you email or call her? Did you hear anything back? Did you attend the superday on March 28th, 2014 as well? What group did you interview with?
Yea I interviewed with DCM that superday. I emailed Erin this Friday and she responded with "Thanks for reaching out. We will reach out next week."
