BB IB goal; MSc Finance at Imperial or Area Studies at Oxford?

Hey guys,

My goal is to work in BB IB post Masters. If I got a choice of offers between an Area Studies subject at Oxford vs. a MSc in Finance at Imperial Business School, which one should I choose? Does the extra street cred from Oxford outweigh the more practical degree from Imperial?

Background: Got two M&A internships and one structured finance internship on my CV. Also got top of class results from my undergrad major in Finance (from a non-target) and an exchange in Asia.

"etx" Would you say that your GPA was weighted far higher than your stellar work experience? Is there a disadvantage in not submitting GMAT?

From what I know, Imperial Msc Finance is quite a respected degree. Which Area Studies course were you looking at?

Area studies is focused on India. I don't know if not submitting GPA is harmful, but I am pretty sure that unless you have an excellent CV it certainly hurts your chances
