BB Intern switch to MBB Strategy Consulting?

TLDR: Intern in NY coverage BB group considering switch into FT Bain / BCG NY after making it far in processes so far

Hi everyone,
Currently a nontarget interning at a coverage group at a BB (Citi, Barclays) in NYC but have made it pretty far into the Bain and BCG NYC processes for entry-level FT (Associate / AC).

Really enjoyed the people I worked with this summer but I see the possibility for a really bad turn in culture as all of the people I vibe with have already said they want to leave by the time I'm FT. I also really enjoy more of the strategy and modelling aspect but I find the administrative and comment turning aspect of the job (due to unclear / fluid instruction) so tedious and pointless. Also, there's a soft offer on the table from my current place so am not really worried about that either.

Was wondering if anyone could give me any more clarity on:

  • Why they made the switch (either way, am interested to hear both sides)
  • Travel and hours (really hate travelling that often so if any locally staffed ppl want to give me insights I'd appreciate it)
  • Pay (moreso post-entry level AC)
  • Exit opps including PE (I understand consultants are probably not going to get looks from Hedge Funds or APO, BX). I don't really care about "prestige."

Thanks! Have a great day
