Big 4 Audit career change

I'm a CPA with 2 years of big 4 audit experience - I'm looking to make the switch into either 1) ER at a boutique firm 2) PM at or 3) Transaction Advisory w/in the same Big 4 firm.

I've had phone interviews / discussions with each. Overall, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the financial services industry in general as I've been in the accounting pipeline since soph year of college.

From speaking with each, it sounds like ER position would provide the best experience / the most work. The Transaction Advisory position would be good experience for an exit opp into PE - however, speaking with a colleague @ our firm made it seem like you're doing the same hours as IB/PE but getting half the pay. The PM position reads like the best fit for what I'm looking for (investment advice, working with public markets, etc.) but the job duties seem very administrative.

I'd appreciate some insight and advice.
