Know people at State Street, Morgan Stanley and JP hired in the past year that have all not been drug tested, so was just curious as many (if not the majority) of firms no longer test. If you're such a brilliant asset to the financial realm curious why you're spending your Sunday afternoon making incredibly unhelpful comments on an Internet forum, aside from clearly looking for an outlet to remind yourself of your own brilliance. You showed me!
I got drug tested at JPM, maybe your friends are just back office shmucks like you?
Pretty much everywhere that does drug testing does a 6 panel test, except for a very small subset who do hair tests. BlackRock not in the hair test group afaik
But yes, THC in the 6 panel test along with the usual suspects (cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, meth, benzos)
Jesuz, so I guess it's true that Wall Streeters snore coke off hooker's asses 24/7 since y'all worried about not passing a drug test.
Honestly, I am sure that they don't. The reality is the look for who is the best. What you do in your free time is up to you. If I were you, I would just keep up hitting the bong while looking for jobs. It will not bite you in the ass.

to clear things up: as far as i know the blackrock hair test posts are just people trolling. i, and everyone i interned with, got a urine test. never heard of anyone getting a hair test. i signed back on for full-time, and imagine my surprise when i went to take my drug test and realized blackrock is now requesting a no thc 9-panel drug test. pretty sure it’s bc BLK is headquartered in NY and NY thc testing just got outlawed this spring, they’ve nixed it company wide.
Do you know if this policy has changed at all? Of them not testing for THC and only testing for urine? Thanks!
Can you confirm if this is still the case? I'm seeing this written a few places but want to be sure. Just got a dream offer from them and I don't want the fact that I burned a J to ruin it.
