Breaking into Industry

Hey guys quick question. So originally when I graduated from school I didn't use my degree in Finance. I graduated last year but have been up to other things. Now I'm trying to break into sell side but cant seem to get an interview while having a decent GPA (> 3.5), had a lot of extra curricular activities in schools and was even the president of a chapter of FMA for what its worth. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but would appreciative any advice.
