Hard to put a numerical value, but an Ivy would increase your chances massively. 

Consider that  only around 5% of target candidates (based on internal Oxbridge-UK stats) get an offer from MBB. WIthout whopping work experience and a top Uni, your chances are otherwise practically 0.

Also, not sure what you mean by "the like" liberal arts. You will find that over half of the people are from STEM backgrounds 

 

Things work differently in the US, but I agree with the general spirit of the comment. Colorado college won’t place into MBB

One thing to note is that most large consulting firms do not have opportunities for rising sophomores.  You'd be better off looking for opportunities in Denver with smaller consultancies or something outside of consulting entirely.  I'd also be sure to monitor CC's job postings site for opportunities.  Do some LinkedIn research to determine how many, if any, alums go onto IB or MBB/T2.  Transferring to an Ivy would increase your chances, but I would take some time and determine how much making it in IB or MBB that really matters to you, for most people it's not a lifetime gig anyways.
