Can I reapply after failing online assessment, despite being an intern previously?

Previously managed to do an off-cycle internship program (6 months) with a lower tier BB, which means I have passed the online assessment and all that. Didn't get an offer becasue I found out it wasn't for me but wanted to apply for the other division within IB and they told me I have to go through the same route as everyone (no complains). However, failed the online assessment because I took a little bit longer than I should and I obviously know I can pass the test. So am wondering if I could reapply with another email. I doubt this would fly under the radar since I have some history with the bank but is it possible to give an excuse like bad internet or something when they flag it out after the background check? Will they blacklist me?
