Canadian Sophomore - does green card application in progress help with SA recruiting?

Hey guys!

Currently a sophomore at a Canadian target school, and have Canadian citizenship. However, via an L2 visa status that I have recently acquired (basically a dependent of my dad, who has an L1 visa via intercompany transfer), I have applied to be a green card holder, which more than likely will go through. With this said though, I 99% won't receive the green card in time for SA 2023 recruiting.

My question is, will this green card application in progress help with summer analyst recruiting? I understand I'll most likely still get dinged from firms that don't sponsor, but would it increase chances to firms that do take Canadians, on the basis that I won't require sponsorship for full-time?

Answers to these questions or any other advice would be highly appreciated!
