Career Advice Needed
I graduated with a Finance degree from Baruch College in January of 2020 with a 3.6 GPA. Although I do not have much relevant work experience, I am trying to find a way to get into investing; whether it is IB, ER, PE, or basically, any field where I could get some experience that will help me down the road.
I read a lot about investing and valuation process and finance in general. Also, I teach myself Excel, study for CFA, try to network on Linkedin, etc. I also constantly apply for various positions in finance, but I struggle to get interviews. Due to personal reasons, it has only been 2-3 months since I actively started preparing for this transition.
I look for any advice that could help me use my time more effectively and increase my chances to start a career in finance (as broad as this may sound, I try to exhaust all my options).
