coffee
If I set up an informational interview with an analyst,
Am I buying the drinks? Are we buying our own drinks? Or is he/she buying me the drink?
Your personal experience please

If you're a student, I'll usually pick up the tab. Definitely don't count on this though, and always offer to pay for the both of you.
Insist on paying unless he clearly is willing to pay for himself/both of you. He's meeting as a favor to you, the least you can do is buy him some damn coffee.
What about drinks after work? (big boy drinks) Who buys, and how much do you drink?
Thanks you guys, appreciate it.
oh just saw @futurewaller comment not sure I guess from the above posts our best bet would be to offer and buy
When I was going through recruiting and meeting with analysts they always paid. I did always offer to pay but they always insisted on paying. The AMEX is one of the best parts of banking.
@FutureWaller - The drinking really depends on who you are with. After you meet once, you will be able to gauge if that person condones getting drunk (bets are...they do). My rule of thumb is to just drink at the same pace as them, especially the first time you meet. There is nothing bad they can say about you if you are drinking at their pace. Thats a good question though and is something that really varies by culture.
I always insist on paying, but they usually end up paying anyways. If they're talking to you about anything firm/recruiting related, they can usually use their corporate card and expense it.
