Cold Calling Script help
I'm in the process of cold calling some nearby firms as they don't have any email or specific contact info for their employees. I tried mailtester but none of the combinations yielded any results. Just wanted to get an opinion on how my script is so far
Hi My name is XYZ and I am a student at XYZ University, I was hoping to speak to someone in the Investment Banking division (I don't know whose name to use because I don't know who to contact. None of my searches on Linkedin told me who works in the office I am looking at). I was interested in learning more about investment banking and was hoping to speak to someone at this location.
Is this fine for an introduction?
Give me the firm name and I guarantee I can find the name of at least one person who works there.
I'm not going to - just saying that if you cant, you're not working hard enough or this is a no name place.
Why are you cold calling? Why not warm email find someone to introduce you, find an alum or some other hook. Cold calling can work, I got an internship out of it, but with the benefit of having seen both of these approaches warm intros are infinitely easier and more productive. Even if you’re at a non-target you’re bound to have some alumni in related fields. Reach out to accountants, especially those in TAS, lawyers, get creative.

Did you try LinkedIn? You can use advanced filters to sort by school, location and firm.
